Can you schedule Facebook posts months ahead?
The short answer
Yes. SSS Social schedules Facebook Page posts for any future date and time, however far ahead — next week, next quarter or next year. The post stays with SSS Social and is sent to Facebook at that moment, so you can edit, move or delete it right up to then.
The same post can go to your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube at the same time.
How to schedule social media posts with a calendar in SSS SocialPlanning a season at once
- Schedule campaign posts, holiday greetings and launch announcements weeks or months ahead.
- See everything queued on the Calendar, and open any post to change it.
- Connect your blog or shop and new articles or products fill the calendar by themselves.
If something changes before the date
Until a post goes out you can rewrite it, swap the picture, move it to another day or delete it. If Facebook refuses a post when its time comes, the post shows Facebook’s own reason, and a temporary error is retried automatically.
How it works, step by step
- Connect your Facebook Page. Under Accounts, connect Facebook and choose your Pages. Instagram accounts linked to them come with them.
- Write the post. Open Compose, add text, photos or a video, and tick the Page.
- Pick the date. Choose any future date and time and save. It appears on the calendar.
- Change it any time before. Open the post from the calendar or the Posts page to edit, move or delete it until it is published.

Questions and answers
How far ahead can I schedule a Facebook post?
Any future date. SSS Social keeps the post and sends it to Facebook at the time you chose.
Does a scheduled post count against my allowance now?
No. The monthly allowance is spent when a post is delivered, one unit per destination, so a post scheduled for next quarter counts against that period.
Can I schedule Facebook posts for free?
Yes. The free package schedules posts to Facebook Pages, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Can I schedule to a personal Facebook profile?
No. Facebook allows posting tools to publish to Pages, not to personal profiles.
